ACCESS/DIRECTIONS BY CAR:

From Barcelona: Take the motorway towards Barcelona and follow signs to Girona/Gerona, which takes you along the though route to the east of Barcelona. The motorway then joins the A7 to Girona. By-pass Girona and take the C66 (exit 6), which joins the N260 in Besalu, to bring you to Sant Jaume de Llierca. Take the Carretera (street) Industria, at the end of wich there is a track signposted to Can Jou. The track is 6 km. long and quite rough and winding, and it will take about 20 mins. to reach the farmhouse.

From Girona (airport): Take the motorway A7 to Girona. By-pass Girona and take the C66 (exit 6), which joins the N260 in Besalu, to bring you to Sant Jaume de Llierca. From Perpignan: Continue on the A9 motorway south into Spain and leave at exit 3 to turn into the town of Figueras, turning right in the centre to pick up the N260. Continue as above to Sant Jaume de Llierca.

From Toulouse: Take the N20 south from Toulouse through Foix (worth a visit if time permits), Tarascon and Ax-les-Thermes to the Col de Puymorens, where you may either cross the pass or take the tunnel (12euros).                                                              

At Bourg-Madame, turn right into Spain, left on the N152 just out of Puigcerdà, and left again a few kilometres further on. Continue on the N152 to Ripoll, going into the town to pick up the C26, take the tunnel of Collabós to Olot and then to Sant Jaume de Llierca.
